blood

noun

Blood is a red, warm fluid that circulates in the veins and arteries of the body. We are able to live because we have blood that carries oxygen throughout the body. When we fall or get cut, blood comes out of the wound, and even though it depends on a person’s weight, adults usually have about five litres of blood and children about two litres.

When you are an adult (over 18), you can donate blood to help cure ill people.
