A positive case is a person who has tested positive to a bacterium or virus. During the covid-19 pandemic, when we talked about a positive case, it meant that someone was infected with coronavirus. However, although a person that tested positive for coronavirus, was not always ill, it was important to be cautious as they were highly contagious. For this reason, when testing positive, the person – although with no symptoms in some cases- had to stay at home and wait for a few days to get another test to see if the virus was still in their body.
