Cancer is a serious disease that happens when some cells in your body multiply, change and become bad. There are different types of cancer: breast cancer, skin cancer, bone cancer, lung cancer, etc. To be cured from cancer you may have to have more than one treatment, such as, radiation treatment, known as radiotherapy, or take chemical drugs, chemotherapy, which often makes your hair fall out.

Many cancers can be cured with these treatments, and although the word ‘cancer’ is often portrayed as ‘scary’, not everyone who has cancer has an incurable disease. Nevertheless, more research is needed to find more cancer treatments.

Cancer is not a contagious disease.
