hospital
noun
A hospital is a large building where they take care of patients. Doctors, nurses and many other people work there. There are many different types of patients in a hospital; from people with a broken arm to pregnant women or children who need surgery. In hospitals, there are rooms for admitted patients, ambulances to transport them, as well as ongoing research to investigate diseases. There are some hospitals that are only for children.
When the centre is smaller and only counts with a few specialist doctors, for specific treatments, it is known as a clinic.
