chickenpox
noun
Chickenpox is a contagious disease that causes you to get a fever, as well as red, itchy pimples and blisters all over your body. Chickenpox spreads very quickly, which is why you can’t go to school. It is best not to scratch the blisters, and normally to cure it you need to take the correct medicine. It usually only happens once in a lifetime and, if you have been vaccinated, you may never get it or, if you do get it, you may not even notice it.
It should not be confused with measles, where you also get red pimples, but no blisters.
